1,594% was the estimated annual inflation rate in trouble-racked Zimbabwe in January – the highest in the world.
4,000% is the inflation rate predicted by the International Monetary Fund for Zimbabwe by year’s end of the prices continue to soar and the government doesn’t devalue the currency.

24% is the commission the IRS will pay private collection agencies for recovering unpaid taxes.
$345 billion is the estimated unpaid federal taxes in 2001, the last year for which the data was available.
