Flying High

An Australian storm carried two paragliders 32,000 feet high – 2965 feet higher that Mt. Everest.

Eva Wisnierska blacked out for 40 minutes during the ordeal, in which she suffered only frostbite and minor bruising. The other glider, He Zhongpin, was killed by lightening.

Recycled Paper

In 2005, 346 pounds of paper was recycled per person in U.S. Nationwide that added up to 51 million tons for the year, or 52% of all the paper products that were discarded. Paper recycling is up 76% since 1990, fueled in large part by demand for paper from oversees markets, including China. (SOURCE: Fortune Magazine)
